;-)))
I know his post introducing himself was as a newbie to the board. But his questions in the thread as to why should I follow you etc were baiting...
If I am out of line, won't be the first time...nor the last...
If anything, I am very consistent in my inconsistency
My apologies. I have reviewed a few threads and you were probably not out of line.
I had not seen anything in this particular thread, but after looking around and a quick phone call I think you probablly had every right to ask for the credentials...

?? WTF
Please, elaborate. And tell me why he deserves credentials from me for merely offering my opinion.
Sarettah, i'm glad to see you pulled back on that one ....
I couldn't believe how many of you were jumping on the 'why should someone offering advice have credentials' question that pro asked that was perfectly valid .....
i don't have time to break it down right now but over half of jiz's original post is just babble that's been copied from somewhere and it was a lot of captain obvious statements that don't require experience to know ... pro was asking why he should take advice of someone who is a moderator of a board and putting his advice forward as fact when he has nothing to back it up.
After reading Jiz's post explaining why he is in a position to give advice on this subject, I can see that he isn't ...
The rule with 'everything but adult' (or mainstream as we all call it) is that anyone who is making any significant money is not going to tell you what they are doing on an adult chat board ...
I personally would not say I have had success in mainstream yet, but I have been able to use my adult business (due to the niches i do in adult) to branch into mainstream and as a result i'm making dribbles of money from different sources - nothing yet that I would consider significant but I was doing so badly in adult last year that anything growing is an improvement LOL
My approach has not been to search for areas that are making money as slavik and the other traffic guys here do who have had big $ success, but i've approached it from the content angle of using what I have to get traffic.
My long term goal has always been to have my own print magazine, so I judge my success based on achieving that goal ... which is going to happen this year.
I am loving every minute of developing it, enjoying myself again for the first time in a few years, my health is good and I'm inspired .... so i'd say i'm successful already, money is the bonus that makes it possible.

There is plenty of money to be made in mainstream... and if you apply some of the principles learned in adult, they WILL work in mainstream as well..... less than 10% of my income is from adult these days... mainstream has been much more interesting the last year or so....
then again.... it's just this newbie's opinion! ;-)

Finally someone that can see the bigger picture
Jiz I simply wanted to know if the advice you're passing off as your own has worked for you, if not then why not and why are you passing on?
Hell I could go on about how my company has developed a new operating system, with a browser, email program and instant messaging system all rolled in and how it's making me billions.
Just because I know how Bill Gates does it doesn't mean I'm qualified to give any advice on it!
I've seen all the so called guru's of the net preaching this and that and if they were really that good, they'd be sitting at home not saying a word and making bank!

Ding ding ding ding!
We have a winner!
CJ is dead on. No one is going to show many, if any of their mainstream cards to a bunch of pornlords.
This is an industry built on finding something that works, duplicating it as many times possible and milking every last penny out of it. No reason to educate them to opportunities you've discovered.
I dont recall saying i was GOD or to take my post like it was the 10 commandments, and i didnt lie or offer up fake riches under my referal code or anything else like we see all over the boards.
I just made a post to someone askin a question with what i had to offer.
A couple people who sign up the the SAME DAY as the post , jump on me and everyone jumps on the bandwagon.
Jumping right on my back, the guy not hiding behind a fresh id. The guy who hasnt lied about his business or what he makes, The guy here to establish and bring some business to the boards, im not here for your money, im here mostly to spend it to build my business and my employers.
I thought i had the right place for this ?
And i apologize for the post, the advice or answers wont be seen from me again.
Originally posted by cj@Apr 10 2005, 09:10 PM I don't have a problem with you giving advice or answers, I have a problem with your 'i am god' attitude.
If you don't think you came across that way then fine ... but this shit?
>>And i apologize for the post, the advice or answers wont be seen from me again.
what next, you are taking your bat and ball and going home?!?!
waaaah.
all you were asked was to provide some info about why your advice was worth following. You were called on bullshit because that's what you posted.
if you want to throw a tantrum about it and take back your offer, that's your call ... shows a lot about the value of what you have to teach.
Who thinks they are god? I dont pretend to be anybody, im more then honest about who i am and what i do with everyone i deal with. There is no other way, and i know who i am.
And im having a "tantrum"...lolol
No tantrum at all, in fact if you read this thread you would see not once am i "having a tantrum." I didnt take back any offers, dont put words in my mouth. I will still answer or FIND the answer to questions posted in that forum for people looking for them, why wouldnt i?
I answer you respectfully and all you can do is swear and make false accusations that you "dont have time to explain"
Then come back to say its Captain Obvious and everyone knows that stuff.
Everyone knows it allready and its alot of Captain Obvious...then why you so insulted i said it.
I just dont see the value in getting so "worked" about something so small. Theres so much worse stuff going on in our industry to waste you time "trashing" someone for shits and giggles.
And its obviously about money to you. So i ask, and i'm serious...
When you were making enough money to pay all your bills (family of 5) put money into your own business AND still have growing savings(didnt say rich here)...
Were you a blatent bullshitter who didnt have the right to voice her opinion or answer a post on a message board?

So because it was my first day posting here that makes me unqualified to see bullshit when its right in front of me?
Or should I have just slipped into a "hey thanks for the advice dude" role instead?
How long I've been a member has nothing to do with my questions and I saw no other people jumping on a bandwagon and backing me up, quite the opposite in fact! Most told me to mind my own fucking business and take or leave the advice!
An opinion has been formed and it's not a good one!
