What will be interesting is that once the socialists have power, how they will react to the terror... if they will pull out of iraq, and then try to avoid any problems in the world, then -imho- Spain have lost to the terrorists

How pitiful a country would be to give in like that. The Spanish had a long history with the moors/muslims way back in the day. Instead of backing down they should be ready to fight even more.

Western Europe has become soft.... They could not even clean up a mess in their own backyard ( Yugoslavia mess).

What other European countries have elections coming up? I will have to scratch them off my vacation list... this is sure-fire incentive for the terrorists to do the same thing in other countries.

Yes, how very interesting.

Instead of reacting to terror by shitting on civil liberties, empowering a conservative religious right, invading other countries, and renaming their food... the PEOPLE decided to run out those that got them in the situation to begin with. What a novel yet simple approach.

And I did read somewhere today that Spain's socialist leaders have said they will be leaving Iraq. I also just listened to some whiners on Fox say that the last time Socialists gained influence in Spain, they were largely anti American and something about them being pro Castro. That can never be good. I bet they dont even love Jesus properly.

Terrorism won, almost brings a damn tear to my eye.

Worked just like it did in Palestine circa 48 and the United States in the mid 18th century.

I think anyone that doubts that the terrorist attack played a large part in that victory is an idiot.

The change in power has more to do with the government continuing to blame ETA for the attacks, even after arresting 3 Moroccans, finding verses of the Koran, being given a tape by Al Queda saying they did it and ETA announcing they didn't.

The state owned media stations were still blaming ETA yesterday, it's just pathetic.

And in the next general election here in the UK, Blair will lose because 82% of the country was against the invasion.... what does that say then?

that when the IRA was busy bombing England, the US government used to allow them to raise money in the US.
