Wow ... hadn't thought of that piece by Ella in a long time.

Actually got into Jazz (stop reading NOW, Vick) from listenting to the Greatful Dead. A whole lot of their concert material was very heavy jazz influenced. There is (somewhere) a really great bootleag with Wynton jamming with them, btw.

[Sin]

I like jazz because its a good background music to play, keeps that part of my brain well occupied so I don't suddenly sit up & think "Its too quiet" or "I'm tired of this music genre" ...I don't get tired of it. Plus it doesn't interfere with my more conscious thought processes, so it doesn't distract me from what I'm doing.

I vote for more Jazz days!

[Dianna Vesta]

Can you tell me how to set this up again? When I click it it just wants to save to a file. I know you posted this once.

Can you tell us again? Pretty please?

I love jazz. I don't see Diana Krall on your list

once you have that little thing installed, double click the listen.pls that keeps downloading to your desktop and it should open right up in WMP

you have to have a broadcaster (shoutcast or iccecast), and a server to push it to

you broadcast on your computer and push it to the main server, then the listeners would grab the link from the main server, and listen to it stream through the server from your computer

Much thanks for the warning ;-)

Ella "Live from" Berlin is one of my favorite CD's to cook to

Along with Wynton Marsalis "The Majesty of Blues"

But then I have to add a string quartet version of Alanis Moresste's "Jagged little pill" no lyrics just all the songs performed by a string quartet

and usually Mary Prankster and Me First and the Gimmies Gimmies

Rather eclectic blend I force dinner guests to suffer

[Sin]

Thanks for keeping up the Jazz, Jace! It seems to be an all around hit so far! I'm loving it!

[bluemoney]

I agree with Sin!. . . . And thanks for the Herbie Hancock

[Jace]

lots of Wynton Marsalis has been added to the playlist
