"Even conservatives who support tax cuts have begun to note the imbalance. Government spending now totals $20,000 per household, a level not seen since World War II, said Brian Reidl, a federal budget analyst with the Heritage Foundation. Meanwhile, taxes total $17,000 per household."

I agree, it's a ridiculous imbalance..

Lower-income people need to pay MORE..not less....

IMHO, The dollar will continue to loose value, because of numbers like this.

I just hope "GW Bush, Inc." know what they are doing... it could end up like pissing in your pants. First a nice warm feeling, but as you go on, then it will get cold, and your crocth will start to itch until you have to take your pants off and use baby powder

For as long as I can remember the US Government has always borrowed into the future to finance its grotesque, wasteful and corrupt spending.

Our Treasury is run like a Ponzi scheme. It will keep on working as long as we stay in the top position in the world, which won't be a problem, since the US is the only major super power country in the world right now and an enormously wealthy country.

Our current debt is $6.49 Trillion. Our debt is currently increasing by $2.64 Billion every 24 hours.

However it should be noted the entire wealth of everything in the United States as currently estimated by the world bank is over $136 Trillion. So as a percentage of our wealth, our debt ratio is fine and the reason we're able to maintain the Ponzi financing game year after year.

I would take all that with a grain of salt. The implication is that a lot of people who don't even pay taxes are going to be paying $20k, when they won't. That report stinks of politics.

Honestly, if I can hold guns to people's heads and force them to "buy" my product like the government does -- yeah, I probably would.

Hmm, even "One Of Your Own", John McCain is criticising Republican spending.

McCain says Congress is spending ‘like a drunken sailor’

Ah, but I'm sure somehow someone here will manage to twist this into some sorta liberal fairy tale. hahahahaha .... As Nicholson said "You can't handle the truth!"
