Well thumbgal, how do you imagine this being webmaster friendly?

The industry is driven by programs who pay their webmasters money to send traffic. If programs get out that make it easy for porn surfers to get tons of quality porn for free, no one will join the sites in the programs. So the entire business would be changed and lots of people would end up out of business.... ( Hell people are dropping out left and right, this summer will kill a bunch more)

I am not sure how your software works, but it could also possibly violate some copyrights of content owners as well. I am sure you will just say its a "browser" but we know otherwise. ( of course I am just assuming what the software does)

Others have come with this software, I do not think any have been successful - which is suprpising because there are so many people in this industry who loving doing things that harm the entire industry for a few bucks....

My intention isn't to run anyone out of business and it surely isn't to break any laws (which we are not). In a free market, consumers decide what will be successful and what will not. Right now, initially, we are a success. That means that we've done something to convey product value to consumers. There are many ways to make ThumbGal more webmaster-friendly.

Now, will I apologize for making something that users will want? No. But as I've said, I would much rather work with webmasters to their benefit and ours than not..but quite honestly, no one seems to want to have any input except for talking down about our software.

Thumbgal, if your software rips MY content off from my websites, without compesanting me, or showing my banners and advertising - then indeed I am pretty confident I could make a great legal arguement for unjust enrichment, as well as various copyright issues.

I have not had any of the software ever jack my images, at least none that I have found. ( trust me I have had my guys look on a regular basis) We are very agressive in defending our copyrighted images. Of course we do not have many TGPs or things set up - where most of these type of shady programs jack their content from. But that will be changing....

I just hope one day someone like you jacks a bunch of my content and use it in an inappropriate way. It would be fun to drop the hammer on people who try to profit off of other peoples hard work, effort and investments.

We have been pretty succesful in defending our copyrights, word has gotten out - people avoid stealing our content. We do have one lawsuit going on in Federal Court right now, I am expecting possitive results from it....

Of course the person who stold the content and refused to take it down probably does not have 2 nickels to rub together, but I will still get a verdit against him for mid-6 figures. He will be paying me off for the rest of his life. He is so broke, he cannot even afford an attorney - of course most attorneys will want at least a $50,000 retainer for defending a case in Federal Court.

The second you have one of my copyrighted images in your program that issue of breaking the law will be for the courts to decide

The copyrighted images I provide are for my paying customers - not for rip off site rippers to distribute

You may want to retain an attorney who specializes in internet and copyright laws

Overall what you propose (and are now trying to do) decreases revenues for many program owners as well as webmaster affiliates

and you have the balls to look for funding from the very portion of the industry you are trying to fuck

I love innovation, but this is neither new nor good for the industry. In total if your concept was successful it would mean diminished revenues for all except maybe your self - in the long term your concept would collapse upon it's self as there would be no more "free" material for you to rip off

You have an idea, think a little harder and come up with something better

I wrote a ripper for myself about a month ago inside of 15 minutes that was more complete than this...

btw, did you ask permission from the hun, tommys, etal to include their links hardcoded inside your software ??

I can open up FrontPage and import an entire website, ever single fucking file as long as I have permission to access a folder. This means that if I have a logon to the members area, I'm downloading it all. When I'm done, fuck you, I've got everything, maybe I'll join in a few months to get some more, that is IF you update your site.

Once John Q Jerkoff has 50,000 images and 20,000 videos on his hard drive why is he ever even going to look for new porn with the rare exceptions of the raincoat crowd looking for a certain new starlet

I agree with you to a point Vick, current surfers would cash in on free pics....but the new/next generation won't have TGP's to go to....they won't have 20k+ pics on their harddrives.

And yes, unique content like 'Fat guys can Fuck' would definitely get more attention.

I would consider it just another bout of 'growing pains' this industry has had, and will continue to have....it would be a matter of time....maybe a year....maybe 2....but eventually I would guess we would see the demise of TGP's as we know them today.

I dunno, maybe I'm just being utopian in my thinking....

gigi, nice idea - but it is the idea of removing all of the money making potential.

By this logic, why not just bypass the middle man and just set up huge download files for people, so they can get all the porn they want for free? Each membership site create a nice big zip file with all your prime content, all your videos... and let them download it for free.

I am sure that will improve business measurably!
