Yup, that's what I look forward to and why I'm a stickler about spoilers for things i really enjoy.

That's becoming a show I'll always watch in real time first night HBO shows it just because people yap. Hadn't thought about the books although I knew it was based upon them, and I do know enough about the series to know we've got a lot more to learn about vampilres and such than we've seen in the first 3 or so episodes shown so far.

This has potential to be a good long running series and HBO needs one. Nothing has really stuck to fill void left by Sopranos, Six Feet Under and Deadwood. And now even The Wire is gone.

I know. A mere three seasons of Deadwood. And then Rome had potential and wham a mere two seasons.

I don't like any of the crap on Showtime's wannabe shows. In fact, I just had Sho taken off my roster as a waste of money.

I forgot about Rome, that was a good one too. I thought they might move it forward and do Augustus, but I think production costs killed that one.

The producer killed Deadwood. HBO wanted more, but he insisted the ensemble cast all get the same pay. That pushed the price beyond what HBO was willing to do.

And I agree about Showtime. What few things I might want to watch over there, I'll grab off the net. And there hasn't been much.
