I'm chuckling at some of the metaphors used to describe me. When I feel really strongly about something though, they're pretty much true. I look better than Confucy, though. At least I hope so.

Sare, you know I hate to see someone taking advantage of a situation where other people have been knocked down. Buff's blog started out personal long ago; it changed drastically though once he and Sig realized the opportunity they had with all of the media attention. At that point, "Buff" became "Michael Barnett" when signing his posts, it became a big PR campaign for DirectNic (via chunk of info on top of blog, Sig's entries not as Sig but as CEO of DirectNic, using the blog for press releases and letters to employees which they would have gone to DirectNic's site to see, etc), and now for Buff himself.

Some folks are thinking right now "well what's wrong with seizing an opportunity when you see it"... usually nothing. But if it's an opportunity that capitalizes on human tragedy, isn't there a line you've crossed?

Nick's always implied that when you step into this industry, you leave your morals at the door (paraphrasing) - I've never been able to do that. To me, what Sig and Buff are doing is wrong, they've crossed that line. *shrug*
