so we went to a nice dinner last night (and tonight too of course)....it was great. packed little place on halsted, alot of young folks with money to burn. so i pay the bill, it was 92.47 ...i tipped 17 dolllars for 109.47 total. it's just a little over 15 percent, i tip more for good service, but this guy coulda asked about our drinks more. but im not gonna undertip because i know its a busy place...takes 10 minutes to get a drink at the bar.

anyway, I had money in my paypal account from sponsors that pay me with paypal.....It has been sitting there so i used my paypal debit card the last week on alot of stuff, including this.

so i login to paypal.....see stuff ive spent money on...and yes i see the fee's (if any) for the service. like ATM's I see an extra fee. well i didnt see any extra fee on this resturaunt purchase (as there shouldnt be).....but the total was 118.95 ......a little over nine dollars extra. I have the receipt right here (i usually chuck it but saw the paypal account before i took it out of my wallet), they have a kind where the pen mark goes through to the next side.

this assface decided to charge an extra 9 some bucks. couldnt possibly be a mistake, those numer look alooot different. what a fucker. it has the waiters name on the receipt. I mean most people that go there would never notice that, but I just so happened to. So I think i will get this fucker fired. Gonna call tomorrow while my gf is taking care of some shit at her building.

What a dick! I tipped over 15 percent and he's gotta rob me? 9 bucks means nothing to me but being dicked over by some cockface really gets under my skin.

grrr!!!!! I should get him fired. it's not cool to rip people like that. he's lucky to work at a nice place like that and get big tips to begin with!

Many times a restaurant/bar will "clear" your debit card for the price of the meal plus 20+% interest to make sure you have the money in your account for the highest charge.

When the correct charge goes through it removes the extra.

Check it again next week before jumping down anyone's throat

I've never had that from a restaurant , peaches..

but the worse I had was travelling round the West Coast of the US..

Hotels preclearing room charges maxed out one of my cards. That was embarrassing ,and it took 5 days if I remember to take the hold off.
If I didn't have other cards it could have got ugly.

I mean really!!! You book the Presendential bungalow at the Beverly Hills Hotels and they immediately swipe 5k off yr card , then book a suite at Disney for the next night...bang 2k , ;-)))

By the way the bungalow is the bomb..4 bedrooms and a private pool , and it really isn't that expensive sompared to the shithole suite they give you at the Disney hotel.

It actually is cheaper if aqnyone decides to do it , to get a nice 1 or 2 bedroom bungalow at the Beverly vHills and take a limo to Disney. Both will cost about a 1k

Disney really over charge....

yeah i thought this was standard paractice with debit cards.

even though they dont advertise it, it IS the same as writing a check. the funds are not guaranteed until the charge goes through.

you cant chargeback to a debit card as easily as a regular Visa/MC.. learned that the hard way.. IVe had to charge back on both, and the Visa/MC was next to nothing, but with the debit card its the same as check fraud, so they need affidavits and other headaches and it took forever to get my money back for something i never even got.

Travellers are gypsies.. same sort of culture as the traveling pikeys... often known for their scams... such as shoddy roofing scams and other cons. but that is just modern day

So you are saying Elton John is a pikey?

damn I did not know that....I will check it again tomorrow and the next day and see.

but 9.48 is the extra, and thats not 10 percent or 15 percent of the original bill. it's a non round number percent.

ryan, I didn't try the viagra, I may today, I may not. ive been a little under the weather this weekend.
