Too early to call for me on all of this year's shows.
I'll go to any show in vegas, but beyond that I get bored sitting in the center bar just talking after a few hours. I need stimulation.

They're called hookers and you can get them in just about any city!! :P

So far I believe I will be attending the Cancun, Phoenix, San Diego and FL shows. September is also time for Bob to take us all to Mexico. That was a fun trip and I would definitely do it again

Growing up in San Diego I can tell you some great places to get some REAL Mexican food... not that fluffed up toursity crap. We always take a few people and make a side trip to a couple of local hole in the wall joints.... that's the best place to find those burritos the size of taxi cabs.
Gonzo - we'll have to grab you a Carne Asada while we're down there. I know you'll love it! We never miss it when we go down to visit the relatives.

my favorite place to get authentic mexican food are those little shitty taco stands...the ones with hand drawn signs and menus entirely in spanish...usually family ran and questionable in sanitation...those kind of places make the best food...you just have to have a iron stomach sometimes...
carne asadas are good, but nothing beats puerco al pastor (shredded pork tacos with red onions in the tiny soft corn tortillas)
there's a dirty little place out in North Las Vegas that has them for 79 cents...true heaven...

sounds like a plan
we'll need a group because the neighborhood is a bit rough...but maybe we can have some entertainment mixed in with the dining and there will be a gang shooting while we're stuffing tacos in our mouths...
Kath, I agree, B rating = quality Mexican food ;-)
yeah, some places here call them carnitas as well...basically the same thing except the red onions, carnitas usually don't have ponions or they use a small amount of white onions
The Pink Taco in the Hard Rock calls them pick tacos and they pickle the onions....

20% going to Phoenix (know if a few weeks one way or the other).
100% doing AOE in Prague in April definately.
180% in Florida in August.
245% back in Vegas next January.
310% doing GLIB in Sydney in March 2006.
Oh and now CJ is moving along to the bogsmoke I would imagine the chance of another Aussie Webmasters Gathering mid-year are about 1 million percent.

Hey Mate,
Be good to meet you as well my friend.
Meat (being typical of his countrymen in language & demeanour) was actually talking about being Downunder in march sometime and I was thinking of maybe arranging something for around then.
Opti and Baldy would be certainties, and I am sure Nick would be there as well, because I would imagine CJ will be central to it now she is going to be in the Olympic city....
Dean would unlikely come down, but at $150 return you should check out Queensland as well anyway, and hooking him for a breakfast should be no drama.
I am organizing GLIB for March 2006 (NEXT year), but more on that later.
Just hit me up, or better still, talk to CJ. We can make it happen.

Okay heres a 'hypothetical' question for any of you who may have programs...
If we were to hold a GWB event at this year Cybernet Expo, would any of you be interested in a cost effective sponsorship option?
We're looking at a corporate sponsorship level for the event presently and wanted to know how much interest there would be in holding the first gay market event during this years Cybernet.
As with all the GWB events, the sponsorship would be used to off-set the cost of the event and any funds not used would be refunded to the sponsor on a pro-rata basis
