Sounds like a lot of people really aren't wanting to go - or just aren't feeling the *need* to go to the Vegas show this year. What happened? It used to be the show to see/be seen of the year...
I love Vegas - well, just Las Vegas... I would be happy just going for shits & giggles - we try to get there a couple times each year.
But it's odd... a lot of people I have spoken to aren't attending, not having a booth (we aren't) or are just sending sales reps - or are maybe just flying in for a day or two. Must just be Vegas and not the industry shows as a whole because those not attending are all saying "see you in Phoenix" or "see you in San Diego" - I think this will be a pivotal show for Internext in many ways.

I cannot speak for others, but I doubt I will be going to any adult conventions.
I am retired from the biz.
I might possibly make the Florida show, to catch up with friends, but that is a quick drive for me.
I am going to the the Inc. 500 conference in March in Arizona.

I have purposely skipped the last two Internext shows in Florida.
Seems it's the weather that dictates my presence at a show lately. Why would I leave a perfectly gorgeous Montreal August to go to hot and humid Florida?
The January show however, I like to stay an extra day and golf.
Oh, I am looking for a 4th for Friday afternoon. Anyone?

Kath, I think you are right, well at least I feel like that anyway. I am soooo dreading going, how sad is that? LOL I am just so burned out of the shows. I like to see my clients, etc and of course hope to gain some news one, but the whole scene just gets old after awhile. I have been going since Adult Dex in '97 so I have had my share I think LOL

Congrats on being retired from the industry! I'm not going to Internext due to my wife being 5 months pregnant, but I'm glad. While I will miss seeing old friends and certainly miss meeting with clients, I don't think it's necessary anymore. I do more biz on the phone now than ever before. If a deal calls for me meeting the client face to face, I am only a plane ride away!
With that said, I wish I could retire from the industry and focus solely on our mainstream business! Anyone want to buy and adult design company? j/k! wait.. no I'm not. Or am I? Seriously, any offers? hahah!

I am sad I have not attended any shows to actually meet you face to face.
I'm going to also sit this one out, I've got so much going on the first 3 months of the new year already. Mike, I'll be down your way the 5-6th of FEB. Going tuna fishing out of venice on the 6th...........WOHOO Then I'll visiting a friend(fishing capt)in St. Bernard, La also later in FEB. I would love to get together with you if your in that area then.
I am looking forward to seeing and reading about what happens in vegas, everyone going have fun, be safe and dont throw in chairs..........

We have 4 rooms booked but we may not make it either. I dont see it as appealing anymore. I have 4 major deals on the table that will completely change the dynamic of our operation, so we're stoked for January. Frankly if I get to Vegas it will be for a couple of days, and I'll be taking my golf clubs....Chris
