and you had to keep them for 3 yrs or something incase of a dispute

Yes, and now you aren't allowed to keep them. Not allowed to retain the customer's card number.
Let's not forget, any of these pages of rules.......any violations, can result in a fine of "up to $500,000.00 per incident."

stopped doing retail a while back, but starting something up again, so it will be all about the portable swipe machines and direct deposits

Cool, but do they do adult?
The rates aren't bad for an adult merchant. I still get better with my regular merchant account, but that would be good for the more "risky" ones.
