Medical marijuana has a lot of sound uses. However, it is specific in its function. I've used it for pain and it works, however, I can't function at all during the few times I used it. The first time I tried it and attempted to work, I couldn't. It took enormous effort to hit the correct keys while trying to write html. I never tried to work while using it again. I was given a small amount to try and I still have most of it. I'd rather be in pain than out of control like that. I hate that feeling.

People who use it for "recreational" purposes should treat it the same way they do alchohol and not attempt to do any work. You can't work drunk and you can't work stoned. Overindulging in anything is a great way to ruin your life.

The only drug I've ever abused was the "speed" that was available in the early to mid 70's. I had nights where I'd stay up writing. The words flowed like water. When I read them the next day I couldn't believe the amount of drivel I'd written and threw it out. I had thought I was on a "creative high." I wasn't. I was just high.

I have had real "creative highs." They were not induced by any drug, just that rush of creativity that happens to a functioning brain.
