Interesting. I remember years ago spending a week in Edinburgh on holiday. We were in a pub (after hours) and as we were leaving the owner reminded us to be aware of what he called "soccer hooligans" that would kick our asses just for the hell of it.

Jersey and Guernsey have the nicest Police anywhere!!!

Seriously , mainly because ...in Guernsey , which is slightly smaller.

There is a total population of 55,000
Income Tax is 20% , its a tax haven.A dect 3 bedroom bungalow is arounf the Million pound mark.
It is self governing , the equivlent of a town council runs the "country"
Did I mention that a high proportion of the Island is rich?
