Scotland tops list of world's most violent countries

A UNITED Nations report has labelled Scotland the most violent country in the developed world, with people three times more likely to be assaulted than in America.

England and Wales recorded the second highest number of violent assaults while Northern Ireland recorded the fewest.

The study, based on telephone interviews with victims of crime in 21 countries, found that more than 2,000 Scots were attacked every week, almost ten times the official police figures. They include non-sexual crimes of violence and serious assaults.

Interesting. I remember years ago spending a week in Edinburgh on holiday. We were in a pub (after hours) and as we were leaving the owner reminded us to be aware of what he called "soccer hooligans" that would kick our asses just for the hell of it.

Income Tax is 20% , its a tax haven.A dect 3 bedroom bungalow is arounf the Million pound mark.
It is self governing , the equivlent of a town council runs the "country"

I knew I'd find it in the end, that's a show on SKY1, showing CCTV footage from streets all over the UK. There's some video of a cracking brawl in Newcastle where 2 women kick the shit out of 5 men. I'm determined to find it. ;)

Oh god, and here I was worried I'd never have anything to contribute...

Anyway, I was in Scotland about 2 years ago in somewhere between Edinburgh and the Skyy Isles. Anyway, knowing myself and longing for drinking and chatting with locals, I stop in this pub.

Well after a few tense moment about explaining "MY WAR", as apparently I was the single most responsible American for invading Iraq, a nice brawl breaks out by the pool table.

So these two guys are kicking the shit out of each other, swear it was like a Smokey & the Bandit bar fight. So I am like, "Shouldn't someone do something?" They were like (and this is translation because the Scots barely speak discernable English) "No, we do that for fun all the time."

Two minutes later they were clapping each other on the back and drinking like nothing happend.

That could be anywhere in the UK, well not the barely speak discernable English part. :D

I used to go to the football(soccer) every Saturday and end in a brawl like that, usually with mates of mine that supported another local team, we'd kick 7 bells of shit out of each other then end up having a few more drinks while comparing black eyes, we're very passionate about our football here. ;)
