Your change in sign ups could be as a result of perceived value. Most surfers feel like a site that is inexpensive doesn't have much to offer. I raised my prices from $19.95 to $24.95 and conversion ratios went up. I changed it to $29.95 and ratios went up again. Changed it to $34.95 and they started to drop a little, so I lowered them back to $29.95.
When Adult.com announced $10 sites I thought to myself "the won't convert as well as $29.95 sites". You may be experiencing the "you get what you pay for" phenomenon. |
