forgive me for being lazy but can you please summarize this into a couple of sentences that state what you are trying to show us with these numbers?

thanks!

This is traffic that were sent toward amateurpages.com - site of adult.com

Before about 10/02/2003 amateurpages.com were charging $29.95 per month for subscription and they were operating $71% revshare program where the number of sales were being tracked by a third party - ibill.com

The traffic were being sent from one traffic domain name. The same domain - the same traffic valume - the same traffic quality.

When stats were being tracked by ibill.com - the third party and site's subscription was $29.95 per month the traffic converted toan average of 6 sales per day (not sure of the exact ration, see screenshots).

Then when Visa 1% came up, they changed the price of the subscription from $29.95 to $9.95, so they get lover chargeback ratio. They changed the program policy from 71% revshare to $25 per sign up. And they started to track sales themselves.

Since the subscription price dropped, the same traffic had to generate more sign ups and it probably did. However as per adult.com statistics it generates an average of 1 sign up per day.

Once they started tracking the statistics, the sales dropped 6x times(?) altho the price for subscription was heavily rediced.

Obvious shaving.

That is why comparing PPS to revshare is like comparing apples to oranges.

I see alot of people doing the math on whether 100 signups would get them more in a PPS or a revshare program... they do all the calculations on # of rebills etc....

BUT they DON'T factor in that 100 signups in revshare only shows up as 50-75 signups in PPS

Hmmmm.. interesting. How does one magically lose 25-50% of their signups when converting to PPS?

BTW- this doesn't mean Lensman is shaving as their is the "perceived value" factor with a program. I believe that it likely could increase REBILLS with the program but not necessarily the signups and may even hurt a program with the initial signup but be made up with the rebills.

I'll give you 2 guesses and the 1st one doesn't count.

Lensman closed the threads, blocked my account quetly (I'm not banned but can't post) and turned manual approval of new board members on.

Tries to hide his collapsing scam network :heil:

That would explain why I can't post there yet. I was wondering what was going on.

dont know anything about this case

but its a very common practice when programs move from 3rd party tracking like ccbill or ibill or whatever to their own custom programs sign ups drop always right from the start.

Hey mlin2, post the screenshots of the thread that was just deleted on GFY. I'd love to see it. :groucho:

Your change in sign ups could be as a result of perceived value. Most surfers feel like a site that is inexpensive doesn't have much to offer. I raised my prices from $19.95 to $24.95 and conversion ratios went up. I changed it to $29.95 and ratios went up again. Changed it to $34.95 and they started to drop a little, so I lowered them back to $29.95.

When Adult.com announced $10 sites I thought to myself "the won't convert as well as $29.95 sites". You may be experiencing the "you get what you pay for" phenomenon.

If thats the case wouldnt 5.95$ trials convert better than 2.95$ trials and even better than $1 trial ??
