You have seen the movie way more than me, I admit, cause I think I have only seen it once.
But having been young and wild myself once, it didn't take me long to see that little quality in her. Not saying I used to be a drunken whore or anything, but its pretty obvious she was trying to marry into money.
And in the end when she fucks up and gets arrested and gets a bad rep, that rich dude dumps her pretty fast. Had that not happened Holly's ending might have been pretty different.
And that looking for something... to be loved for who she is? Not for who she is trying to be.
