Probably not.

Actually, David Lee Roth pulled pretty well a couple years ago.

Elvis Manson did well and everyone had a good time with them in Toronto.

I understand Darren books rap acts because that's what he likes and has the connections for.

I actually have connections for Motley Crue and some of the 80's hairbands (I used to book festival shows with 80's castoffs, one-hit wonders, hasbeens and never-wases as well as a couple hitmakers: Love/Hate, Gene Loves Jezebel, Tears For Fears (we booked a show one time and they just showed up and wanted to play), Giuffra, and countless others...

I think there would be a nice turnout for such a show but no one has bothered to do one. Remember, this industry is built on most people being followers. Everyone else books rap/hiphop and techno clubs/acts because the other guys are doing it. I'm approaching mid-30's now as are a lot of others who grew up on the hairbands, early thrash metal, etc. just as the upcoming generation was raisied on rap and hiphop (and Vanilla Ice...yikes)

I'll be announcing a new position I've taken at InterNext and maybe these folks would be up for such an event at future shows....
