Yes, and this is good. Much like the role of the hunter in the evolution of the defense mechanisms of prey, hackers help push the very limits of technology. Maybe the thieves are always one step ahead but the technology is better as a result.

i remember reading about this technology when it was invented. i guess a coating on the dvd begins breaking down when exposed to light or something?
nice idea, but one more disposable thing :-/
