i remember reading about this technology when it was invented. i guess a coating on the dvd begins breaking down when exposed to light or something?

As someone who loves Netflix because I can take as long as I want to watch DVD's, I'd NEVER sign up for it. :( Too many things can happen w/in those 2 days to delay watching, and most people are more than happy to pay the late fees. But to have to drive BACK to the store and rent another one because you didn't get it watched in 48 hours would be a deal breaker for me. :blink:
