In other words, it's very little different than a speech by Bush, right?

Moore creates the impression that Gore was celebrating his victory in Florida.

Actually, the rally took place in the early hours of election day, before polls had even opened
-------------

This is the kind of thing the right is latching onto as 'lies'. They really hate and fear this film. I love it.

All this criticism coming from the party that impeached a successful President for lying about a blow job  The more dems we can find willing to use the right's own weapons against them the better.

Fuck that. I loved it when Larry Flynt started exposing the hypocrisy of the impeachment managers, I love Michael Moore going after the right with inferences and innuendo. We still don't have anyone as willing to lie as directly as Limbaugh or Hannity, but we're getting there.

Before you fire up and enlighten me...notice a key word there "objectively".

Moore has said over and over - he wants to see Bush removed from the white house. He's certainly one objective mother fucker.

Larry Flynt also signed a contract with Acacia...

Leftist hero worship is pathetic.

A little poll here:

How many people who replied to this thread read the Kopel article in it's entirety ?

I, for one, did.

Now, you'll also notice that I haven't voiced any opinion about it.

And of course, I shan't...

I'd opine the guy who wrote it is likely just as looney as he probably thinks Moore is.. and I didnt need to read his 5000 word manifesto to decide that :P

Wonder if history will show Moore will have influenced this election.. he has said often over the last 3 years in his email newsletters that his ambition was to make a difference in removing Bush in 2004.. so far he apears to be some chance of suceeding.

btw.. posted this in another thread but worth adding here too

Opti, do you really believe that? I find it hard to believe that MM will impact that many swing voters.

If the deciding factor is MM movies, these people have serious problems.

Opti 07-02-2004 10:21 AM

Havent decided if I think Moore will make a difference yet Wig... (about the looney writer.. yes I beleive that :P )

I initially liked Moore and simply found him witty and entertaining when I first saw his stuff on the Naked Truth.. Now I think he is a political animal... and not so like-able.. but he has been saying this is what he wanted for years... and I bet right now he feels sucessful... I still have no idea how history might see it... but I am interested to see how it plays out!

Moore is on a big high right now.. a great height to set himself at to fall from if the tide changes... if he is sucessful, he could be remembered by our children in history books too though.

I think Moore is 100% right to have done what he has done, is my only real solid opinion I have on Moore right now. Im not sure if I really like the way he has gone about it I do admit though.

Edd 07-02-2004 10:31 AM

Thank you, Aeon.... I'm glad someone defined the difference between documentary and propaganda.

Michael Moore is NOT a documentary filmmaker. He is a Propagandist. And a :moon: :matey: .

    should hunt him down.

I agree completely.

He is a witty and entertaining propagandist. I like him for that.

I just do not think he will play well to anyone who already is not anti-bush when it comes to votes.

The election is going to be very interesting. I think Bush will win, but it will be close.
