I don't know why... but i do not enjoy the 'Holiday Season'.

We have a difficult time financially during the holiday season because my husband's work shuts down and he is left without any work or pay during this time. So we have to scrounge a way to just come up with our regular household income, let alone have any extra cash for gifts and such.
I choose to celebrate the season by spending time with my friends and enjoying good food. We decorate the house and our tree, but we just don't put any gifts under the tree. Make the holiday work for you on your terms and don't be pressured to celebrate in any one else's way.

It doesn’t affect me either way. I don’t really celebrate it but I’m also not entirely against it. It’s the end of the year and business slows down quite a bit. I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
If anything it can be a pain because no one wants to start new projects and everyone has excuses why they didn’t get their shit done. No one returns calls, emails, etc. Rather then let it bother me I take the last two weeks and kick back a bit.

I love Christmas and New Years. Being Scottish, however, New Years Eve is the biggie.
