When we started out doing shows, the seminars were often more useful than they are today. Just like the boards at the time, there was a lot more open and frank discussions, and people happy to help each other make money. That sort of got burned off over time.

Somewhere along the line, seminars became more of a sales pitch, where reps from various companies stand up to "discuss an issue" which mostly gets resolved by using their product or promoting their programs. You tend to see the usual collection of attention whores appearing in panels these days. You won't learn from people who only want your money.

They couldn't always suck... I was on some of the panels. So at least once in a while, they sucked a little less

yeah well maybe one, I re,member paying extra in Miami for attending the seminars, total fucking rip off, they were all hung over and it was a big joke
