When everything runs smooth at the same time I can get by spending just 3 or 4 hours a day maintaining the status quo. But that rarely happens for more than a few days a month, plus I'm never happy just maintaining the status quo.

The rest of the time I just put in the hours needed to get it done while ignoring the stuff not absolutely essential to keeping the cash flow coming in. Some weeks that's into 80 hour neighborhood. But it still beats the hell out of having a daily commute and a supervisor to report to.

P.S. I have a monthly glass club meeting this evening, so I'll send you a PM with a list of indie sites later tonight or tommorow.

Yup, efficient time and task management is critical when working for yourself.

I belong to a local glass collector club. I collect antique glass when I'm not doing this Interwebs gig. A couple of pics....

Most of that I've bought on eBay over the last 6 to 7 years, and the rest at shops and shows. Most of that is by US makers, the rest UK with exception of the five tumblers on the bottom left of pic 1, which are French. It all pretty much dates from about 1888 to 1908. I have one other set of shelves about the size of pic 2, with mostly odds and ends pieces instead of groups of the same pattern. It's an addiction, and yes, it can get expensive.

You must be an expert on antique glass...you could start a blog on it..assuming you don't already have one
