The only true innovation has to come from the content producers and copyright holders. They have to start working on jealously guarding their rights on their content, and not allowing any fool to use it any way they like. I know it would be hard to control the torrents that are hiding in friendly jurisdictions, but it isn't hard to send a DMCA to google and get their SERPS pulled. The content owners need to take action.
Sadly, too many of the tube sites appear to be operated directly (or indirectly) by programs that are more than happy to fuck each other over, fighting for the table scraps of the feast they have spoiled. At least they are all still bros, stand up, top notch guys.
Anyone seen anything from Deecash recently? They seem to have gone mostly into hiding.
