Okay, finally went through all four pages of this, and it was interesting in a convoluted way.

I do have a question though....how do you track someone's MAC Address?? A couple of people alluded to it being quite easy with readily available tools, but I sure can't find anything. The most I found was a tool that will return a MAC Address from the main router on a network, but nothing deeper. Doing a quick Google search, I came across Geek boards where people asked this question, and the response was "You can't, unless someone is purposely and actively broadcasting it".

So, please let me know how. I'm just curious as to how this can be done. I have a feeling I won't be getting a response.

That has been my question all along. I *THINK* it's impossible. According to my 2 network guru's, its impossible. I can't find anything about it on Google, and in my post earlier, I found out that MAC Addresses is simply not a part of the TCP/IP Layer.

I also posted my IP Address in a previous thread, and asked Moetheman to grab my MAC Address from it. So far, no response.

Anyway, all BS aside here, I would really really like to know if this is possible. If so, it would help us to make our credit card fraud detection system (http://www.2much.net/fraud-detection.html) even better than it already is. If we could block users by MAC Addresses, we could illiminate CC fraud altogether!
