Im not ashamed of what I do. The interviews I do with the press inside and outside of this industry have always used my real name with the handle in quotations. Youve sat on a panel with me where I introduced myself with my real name.

I got nothing to hide nor do I have any shame.

I continue to do mainstream work when the chance arises. I am hired BECAUSE of my experience from this industry.

There are a few people in this business that know my real name and Gonzo is one of them. I sure as hell hope they continue to respect my wish to keep that information private.

I would like to add my own 2 cents here and say that it really doesn't matter if people use their real names here in adult, or not.

Some people chose to use fake names for no reason, while others use it because of the way so many people publicly view the porn industry. Susie homaker likes porn, wants to make porn, but doesn't need the headache of her uppity next door neighbour finding out, at least not yet. Therefore she'll choose a fake name.

When I meet someone at a show with a name such as "Dirty D", "Hammer", "Sleazy", etc, to me, this is THEIR NAME, PERIOD. I won't judge anyone using a fake name in adult, nor will I give any bonus points to anyone who openly declares their real name either. For me, I just don't care.

All I care about is what they do, how they do business, what their product is (or how they can sell mine). That's it!

Maybe you should work on improving their success rate before you brag about selling new licenses for something with a 99% chance of failing.

We did ok... we have lots of type-in traffic, especially right after the show airs. The show was completed years ago but season 1 is still playing on Showcase on Friday nights at 10pm, and on IFC on Saturday nights here in Canada.

What kills me though is that the show can't be shown in the US. I don't know why but I think it has somehting to do with 2257 and Dugmor's infamous "Drilldo" scene. (Dugmor attaches a sex toy to a powerdrill and use it on Malasia. yikes...) Probably too racy for TV.

Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OSI_model This is the industry standard OSI model for data. TCP/IP functions at Layer 3 & 4, and MAC functions at Layer 2. Layer 2 is for the physical addressing of the local network.

If you then look at the structure of the IP packet http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ip_%28struct%29 you'll see that it contains IP addressing only, not MAC addressing, because that is done in the lower layers (Layer 2).

That is why the arp function is needed to translate MAC <-> IP in order to deliver on the LAN.

The only exception in modern day for MAC to leave the LAN is when a user has a Cable Modem and the Cable Modem has a MAC address, which is sent via the PPPoE protocol (or PPP for dialup) to the local ISP for uthentication to allow Cable Modem to communicate on network and to get assigned an IP address from the ISP.

Once the Cable Modem PPPoE authentication is complete, the rest of the communication occurs at a higher Layer, so there is no MAC in the IP (IP or TCP/IP or higher).
