Besides buying in fields that your not familiar or involved in can also be risque.
If I where full blooded gringo I would have the same idealism as yourself. But this country as changed so much and the "World Grouping" thing is beginning to rise, especially with the liberation of the Internet. Things are changing.
And with the devaluation of the dollar? Well, I believe this is a good thing to be honest.
It'll start bringing the middle class more work opportunities, and also offer the change for foreign countries to spend they're foreign dinero here.

it's full of U.Ker's "Cha-Ching, Cha-ching"
This was the only reason why I comment about overseas investment.

Gotta tell you, from a business standpoint, the weak dollar helps us. It still costs me the same to make our product, as it's American Made, but lots of non-usa customers are suddenly finding it more affordable. And YES, I'm seeing a SHARP increase in Canadian orders.
