Domain names arent as important as some people make them out to be. If they garner a lot of traffic albiet type in or from the exisitng site there lies the value.

Im not even sure what a .mobi is supposed to be other than for mobile.

A bit of a long shot bet unless you have a very specific business plan oriented around mobile.

Personally, I dont think they'll get the cooperation they need to make it go. It's too easy to auto detect mobile browsers and simply redirect them to something like "mobile.mydomain.com" and completely bypass all the hoops the mTLD wants you to jump thru to play in .mobi
