If that were the case then DirectNic would not have given Slick a deadline prior to shut down. The shit storm this created on the boards most certainly notified the host.

If the Feds wanted the sites down they show up at the host unannounced, with a warrant, and sites are shut down. The Feds have no need to be subtle.

In true CP investigations, they do keep things quiet and even more disturbing, keep the investigations going on for quite some time. That was caused by Slick. Myself, I get an email like that only me and my closest advisors are going to know about it, kind of like if you got a sumons from the city for too much dog shit in your yard. I would be embarassed to have it come out that I was being looked at by anyone as possible cp and further I would not go and show my ignorance by saying I didn't think it looked like cp and I didn't have enough time/energy to run my business properly.
