LAS VEGAS - Internext Las Vegas 2007 released its “Business Building Blocks” schedule for the upcoming show. Included are two-hour-long seminar series, intensive workshops, and classroom sessions.
“This year’s education tracks are included in the all-inclusive, all-access pass at Internext Las Vegas. We feel everyone will benefit from “Business Building Blocks” and gain vital information and moneymaking tips to meet increased business challenges in 2007,” explained Renee Johnson, senior show manager. “The main goal is to provide the optimal learning environments that go hand in hand with the topics.” “Business Building Blocks” will start on Monday at 1 p.m. and end on Tuesday at 5 p.m. Each event will last two hours, with each seminar having a break-out session. The first half of the seminar will feature a panel discussion with industry pioneers and technical experts, followed by a second hour during which attendees can have one-on-one interaction with the panelists, complete with open bar. I'll be there. Let's get The Enforcer to do some interviews for us again.
Don't worry though Matt, we won't have to rely on Gonzo's equipment this time, I'll be bringing my handy dandy field recorder.

Content, Traffic/SEO, Marketing and Legal. How many different ways can you discuss the same 4 topics? I'm more interested in who will be talking, and whether they have a personal agenda or business to push.
The traffic seminar at Miami was entertaining, Jay and Qon are funny guys, but I can't say I learned anything new. Oh and what is this thing called Newbie Orientation? Newbies at Internext Vegas? Only if they're attending on someone elses dime.

Still showing an absence of a clue....
Seminars at this point only attract newbs unless you can do one of two things: 1) Put someone on the stick that people actually wanna hear speak... 2) Actually teach something. The content class is a step in right direction but only if it's someone reputable teaching and with the right tools to demonstrate. Better classes would be "how to" on different tools, Wordpress, etc. Especially if you can show some tips that apply directly to adult usage and traffic filtering. No interesting in chicken little lawyer acts or SEO experts who have a budget of $100 a month to spend on the engines. |

where are al the basic classes for affiliates?
or how about basic classes or seminars for program owners? we are in an affiliate/sponsor era big time right now, IMHO AVN has barely had any grasp on the online adult industry and this just shows how much they have almost completely lost that grasp AVN is a VIDEO promotion company/magazine, that is how they started and that is how they are evolving, they have no clue about much of the online side of things....they are just still pushing internext because it is a cash cow for them, they make so much damn money off this convention it is obscene, why woudl they even make an attempt to spend more of that profit to make people happy? I admit they are trying a little, but very little |
