living in the present takes enough energy, without rehashing shit that can't be changed.

we all had some fun, learnt some lessons, made some friendships and lost some.

Rather than slamming each other for some page views, I'd rather know that when you guys head down under I can return your hospitality with a great dinner and a trip down memory lane ... without an APM vs VPM shoot out in the street.

I hope life is treating you well Ant. xx

I'll always drop by and say Hi whenever I can because I have some great friends here and people I am very fond of, but honestly ... I'm so burnt out on this industry these days that the idea of having to sit at my computer and wait for responses makes me want to chop my hands off. LOL

These days I live at the beach. I live healthy. I spend my days doing basic design work where I can to get by. I work on my magazine. I shoot some content. All stuff I enjoy. I just needed a rest. My priorities have changed a lot!!

But Oprano will always be my board, no matter who owns it :-)

Sounds like you are living life well CJ. I know exactly where you are coming from. I recently bought a place up in the mountains that I run away to every chance I get. I'm dealing with the adult world on my terms these days.. getting up in the morning five days a week and driving to a proper office gives me another way of turning the adult world on and off. As opposed to walking from my bedroom to my office and working for days on end. The drive is my on off switch right now. I had burn out a few years ago.. The time I spent back then was well spent but it also took its toll. I pace myself these days. I can't be in all places at all times.. I can only do so much quality work in any given day.

isn't it funny - 5 years ago we were so happy we got to work from home! Now, I look for contracts where I can work out of the clients office and its amazing how much more I enjoy being at home when I am. I hardly spend any time at my computer at home these days - although I do take the laptop to the deck and work with the sound of the ocean breaking. Sounds like you have your inland mountain version and I've got my coast version! Lets swap some time for a month!

Life is for living, not watching ;-)

Yeah I use to love working from home.. I thought of it as freedom. Then I realized that I had not left the house in a year and that I felt like I couldn't even if I wanted to. That wasn't so much fun. I'm pretty good about disconnecting these days. The world doesn't come to an end if I disappear for 24 hours.. or 48 hours. That is a nice change.. I'll take the office over the house these days. I don't see that changing.

I'm sure my wife would be very happy to swap places with you sometime!

I'm with you on that all the way. I decided to revamp my sites but I'm not interested in going hog wild. If they pay for themselves, make me a little extra gravy then I知 good with that. I enjoy my sites because I知 into that lifestyle. In fact I知 making them more community portals with upsells & some member stuff.

Once I get everything operating (whenever that happens) I値l go back to working a few hours a day and when I want to. The rest of the time I値l talk to the pigs, ride horses through the woods & grow my own damn food. Things change & eventually you can afford to do what you want emotionally and economically.

We致e paid our dues.

BUT I wouldn稚 mind working part time for AEBN they are now only 2 ス hours from me! Bishop when I知 in Charlotte visiting my sister & mom I want to come there.

Final note- I love Oprano but sometimes it bores the shit out of me & other times its great. I hope the people here, we know and love stay because its the people that make it worth coming to.
