When I got it , it was on life support and I couldn't resucitate it and had nothing to sell on it if I did. - ( A board owner defenitely needs to have an affilate program or some other angle to make the side money on , AEBN and Cuddly may well be the mix it needs...time will tell)

Joe and gonzo pretty much pulled the plug on it by inferring that the old guard were no longer welcome , drive by spam was more relevant etc.

I hope with Bishop's and AEBN's input it does well.

I have not been keeping track of the board so I don't know how things have been lately to be honest. I see this board as it was say two years ago. That is my perspective. The sites greatest asset is the old guard in my opinion. It is to fucking hard to start new these days.. not that it can't be done but I just don't think any site should cater to the inexperienced anymore. Affiliate programs make money from the old guard not from the new up and comers. I want the old guard to call Oprano home.. or at the very least drop by on a regular basis to see what everyone else is up to. I think the companies that advertise on sites like Oprano see the value in the old timers.

I'll be honest.. I don't know what everyone else wants out of this site I just know what I want out of this site. I want a place I can personally go and talk shop with old friends who probably know what they are talking about. I want to hear opinions from people who I think have really earned the right to have an opinion. I don't have a ton of time on my hands to hang out on the boards. I can't even read some of the boards because they move so fast.. I don't want to work my way through a mountain of bullshit to get to something worth reading. I would rather read ten intelligent post a day than a hundred crap post.

For what it is worth , I'm behind you 100% on that.

AND In all seriousness... I hope and am sure you WILL achieve your goals , and the Oprano you describe is one where I for one would be delighted to read and post daily ( during the 30mins the home lets me have net access that is)
