Interesting read on Google

I don't think they will have an OS unless they purchase some linux distribution. A hell of a lot of schools, colleges, universities and more are switching to Linux so they don't have to keep paying for software and support like they do with Office / Windows products. It is saving them a fortune literally.

Google have a lot more going on than a browser / os but I would check out the browser for sure.

I think GoogleOS *is* a possibility that could come from integrating Google Search, Gmail, Google Earth, Google Instant Messaging, Google Video etc... etc... eventually they may decide it all requires integrating. I would watch out for any major OS developers getting hired by Google in the next couple of years.

I don't think any goverment will allow google to integrate all their products in a OS. Just look at what MS is going through over here in Europa, they got a big bill and needed to make a version of windows without Media Player.
