another good tip which it seems most paysites lack is delivering on their promises. If it says daily updates on the tour then it's probably a good idea to update every freakin day, but of course this is just my opinion, i do not claim to be an expert

Makes about 5% retention difference.

Most buys are an "impulse"

if you have good content a few may keep coming back. Most won't

The hard fact of this business is that the vast majority of recurs happen because the person forgets to cancel.

And that is coming from someone who has had paysites with excess of 500 new members joining everyday.

I check logs....

Check which usernames enter yr sites.

Bet 80% of yr recurs never revisit.

The only time they do is if you really spoil them with lots of content and update it. Then overall it will improve yr retention by 5% a mth. ( a not unsubstantial sum) however...

The cheapest factor of production in the business is content.

I tend to buy huge amounts for a centralised members area that in turn can be made niche specific with all the other content as a bonus.

I tend to use "exclusive" "rare" and expensive content only on frontends.
