When I lioved in manalapan I used to walk out to the sea wall and lean into the storm ...easiest way to see how strong the wind was. ;-))

They did always over react though.I was at KMart I think it was and they started announcing "Do not leave the store"

Oh come on!!! LOL

Anyway , in Manalapan we just pressed a button and all these steel shutters rolled down...

I know...Don King has an estate there, 27,000 square feet.
We used the same custom furniture guy who showed me some "gadgets" he built for him

Mine was the smallest house on the A1A.But still around 6,000sqft.I think its been demolished now and big fuckoff house built.

Ocean front , with intercoastal accross the road for boat morring.

My moored boat was also the smallest. A 22 ft searay LOL.

I am in Florida. The storm should not be that big of a deal, but I may end up cooped up in the house with my mother-in-law.
