I'm for some ex-military guy (cough, PD) to tell Vick he should know better than to request something, lest he be volunteered.

Hmmm .......
Mutt was always the commissioner in the years past
Don't think the software is challenging to install or resource intensive (but might be beyond me)
Need a few pretty pages for the site (which is beyond me, I know my limitations)
As far as adding the scores in through an admin, having the info on weekly winners out by Tuesday morning (always a Monday Night game), adding the new line every week, acting as a impartial judge in case of any disputes, reminding players to get their picks in every week (I like the idea of a short weekly email) than I can help out

Have to find out where Mutt got the software to run the pool, think it was easy to find and inexpensive (does anyone have facts on it?) If not I can look around or drop Mutt an email

Bottom line is if it adds/offers something of value to Oprano, something members of Oprano want, increases revenues, visits, visibility, memberbase and something advertisers want in on

The NFL season opens on Thursday September 8

Damn I have a gift for the obvious!!!

Yeah so let's talk (if the members are up for it again this year). I'll be busy most of Tuesday but might be able to free up a little time, If not Wednesday will work.

Think last year might have been the biggest in terms of amount of players

It's 4:33A.M/ EST (GMT -5) so am not at my brightest

Everyone please feel free to chime in

Vick you might also want to check with the folks over at NAt Net as I think they own the domain that Pick Em runs under as well.

BTW- I just want to vent.. it took me $40 fucking bucks to fill up my car with gas yesterday!

Gas prices are out of fucking control. I'd post the whole story but it's two pages long.

The Biggest Jump at the Pump
18-Cent Weekly Hike Sets 15-Year Record

By Justin Blum and Anjali Athavaley
Washington Post Staff Writers
Tuesday, August 16, 2005; Page A01

Motorists pulling up to the pump at the Cardinal Plaza Shell station in Springfield got a price shock several times last week. On Tuesday, the station owner bumped the price of a gallon of regular up 3 cents; on Wednesday, he nudged it 4 more cents. On Friday, he got bolder: His price jumped 23 cents.

The steady increases in Springfield -- and across the nation -- pushed up the average price of a gallon of gas by 18 cents in the past week, the biggest one-week jump since the Energy Department began compiling the data 15 years ago. The average national price of a gallon of regular was $2.55 yesterday, up 36 percent over a year ago.
