Nah, I've got some minor arthritis in c2-c4 that gives me grief on occasion, the rupture was totally unrelated... one minute I was in BC fly fishing and kayaking, the next day I was in unstoppable tears trying to get through the Vancouver airport to baggage claim.
Sciatic nerves are fuckers though. The only real way I can describe how it felt when it ruptured is something akin to having a line of meathooks run down your leg from your ass to your ankle, and someone trying to pull the muscles off the bone with them.
