As for Americans being over-medicated, you only have to watch the commericials after 11am to see that they are.

Med companies advertising one after another, you feeling sleeping? You have aching limbs? Dont like socializing with people? You gotta be ill, buy our medicine and we'll fix you up but, only a doctor can prescribe your condition.

Crazy world we live in.

In contrast, in the UK i think the only medical companies that advertise on TV are for throat lozengers or asprins. Non of this Zoloft, Xanax, etc etc bullshit.

They have even turned to spamming people via regular mail too, we had a mail delivery a few months ago which out of 25 letters, 10 of them were envelopes stuffed with 'money off vouchers' for medicinals.
