worked my way up the NetPond ladder
had a cancer scare that was luckily caught in time (and so far, no recurrances though I still get checked every 6 months)
had a housefire that sent me into a really dark place that took me a good year to crawl out of
launched my own program and found I was better at running a program than a business, so it failed miserably, had a few other things not pan out
finally got my head straight (again, this time with the help medication) and pulled off a great 2004
I am currently the affiliate manager for EvilGeniusCash and couldn't be happier personally and professionally
I also just recently secured $500K in seed capital for a mobile/cell phone venture that is a bit different than some are getting into (waiting for final patents and copyrights before opening my mouth too much publicly ;-))
I'm also the resident movie geek, loving movies ranging from the obscure artsy fartsy to cheesy b-flicks with bad acting, big guns, big explosions and big boobs...

Ran an adult bulletin board with a friend back from around '91 through '94. Was at the same time working for a couple of crooks selling illegal software (I was the only person actually "hired", the rest were friends of friends) but learned some of the ins and outs of Direct marketing, then worked doing a big cad/cam installation for a clothing manufacturer. Then I went to a large Direct Marketing database firm where I satyed through 99. Stopped doing the adult bbs and pretty much ignored the net for a few years as I concentrated on keeping kids fed and clothes.
Went to work for the folks hosting the crescent sites in '99 writing tracking apps against about 250 websites. Got to see the adult side of the net from the backend for a couple of years. After Crescent went out and the company did layoffs in 2001, went back to a direct marketing firm during the day and started doing sites to learn the biz from the other side at night.
Right now I am still working fulltime days and trying to do various projects at night. After trying a couple of programming projects for "clients" have decided to pretty much quietly do my own thing, build traffic and write fun programs while I try to find the magic formula..lololol..
I also help my wife with the tech side for her jewelry sites.

Started working in my grandfathers book making store in 1981 and learnt a ton from him and the sad punters that came in after working a full week and watching them blow their wad in 2 hours.
Spent 12 years working for "that will do nicely, cc company" working through the ranks and all the departments doing graphics and manual labour, whilst running several porn bbs's from one of the machines doing ansi and ascii graphics.
Started working on some of the doors at nightclubs and had a fantastic time, and although my body was busy, the mind was left wanting.
Phased out the door work and went freelance to a lot of corporates, banks and medical agencies doing graphics, websites, 3d and video. to move onto project management, sales, advertising and marketing to management. Regardless of where I was in the world for the companies I always managed to find time to do adult design.
Pretty much worked all over Europe with regards to living there although at some point will think about moving to the US or Canada.
ok, after school I worked some years for Siemens and Henry Schein, selling dentist equipment. from 1998 to 2001 i studied business administration and worked some time as a computer consultant.
my first internext experiences i made with a windows 3.1 laptop with AOL 3.0 I think, bought an Adultcheck membership. must have been 1996 or so.
in 1999 or 2000 i thought for the first time that running adult websites might be an interesting thing, but (unfortunately) i never got really into it.
in 2002 me and some guys from my band i was playing at that time decided to open a paysite (there must be money in porn!!!). and i was the only one who had the balls to take a camera and shoot pictures (of course i had no clue about photography at that time). no need to say that this project failed and we had something like 2 signups in 6 months.
but through this I found my actual business partner and we decided to have a company together. and since more or less one year now we are shooting content - mostly softcore single girls, but also hc content. 80 - 90% we do exclusively for some major websites, the rest goes into our contentshop.
besides that we run some sites and do some other stuff which is not worth to mention here.
I'm old so I'll fast forward to the adult side of the biz
Back in 1993 I started working for an audiotext company. After three years when they went under, I started doing website member support for one of my customers who is a large program owner.
Did that for about 18 months and opened my own free sites. Ran them for years and at the last Vegas show (2004) WEG offered me a job as webmaster sales/support and I accepted.
I have been an adult movie director & producer since the early 1990's. Nowadays I still produce movies for my own company and others for DVD release but I mostly keep busy filming custom-shot exclusive reality & niche content for internet company's web site programs. I have been shooting video and movies since the 70's. I actually made my first porn film in London in the early eighties. It had a budget of 125K UKL. Very cool. But that was a brief sojourn. I fell into porn kind of by accident in 98. Made a stupid amount of money, liked the work, and hung on.

Ill be honest as an adult webmaster im a novice but as a community builder or day to day administrator im actually probably one of the best without blowing my own horn .. www.forumsmanager.com is my services site where we design manage admin skin hack and do pretty much anything u can think of to do with forums or communitys. My own site is based purely on a community and my own first community at its height had over 25,000 active members before a serious of hack attacks eventually killed it .
Babesandstuff.com is my current main project but like others i have a day job as a telecoms network engineer installing and maintaining the national network of phone lines in rural ireland. But babesandstuff isnt my only site as im one of these people who has more ideas than sense and always try something new if i can do it myself or get someone to try it with me. so hers a brief list of some of my less busy sites

Community is really picking up steam outside of the adult if you look at some out there. I think Loki and Nick Pappageorgio are making some of those for marketing that folks should check into.
I can tell you Nick and I would be interested in discussing community concepts with you over time as a learning experience.
I had some minor success building one back in the dial up days.

Opened up a website design company early '96 called "Home Boys Webvertising". Did that for a couple of years with a handful of small clients and one large client.
Got sick of dealing with the clueless. Time for a change. And there were no affiliate programs in mainstream yet, but there were in adult.
Early 1998 made first free site and discovered Condom Project, joined up. Half year later became an official, founded the Condom Chronicles newspaper and ran it for 16 months, until December '99.
Started own company, Dirty Gloves Inc. with Electra start of 2000. Built free sites and TGP galleries like crazy. (Took a peek at mainstream, but they still weren't ready for prime time.) Opened up All Of 'Em summer of that year.
Did marketing and promotion for BillPMB for a few months. Worked on company ventures and concurrently worked at Insite for two years as marketing director til end of 2002.
Fall 2002 launched Content God 1.0. (2003 and first half of 2004 wasted a huge chunk of time and money on a large project that never even got off the ground thanks to the people we were doing it with.) Two months ago opened up Mainstream Webmasters.

Before the internet thing I was a Madam that did way too much free bassing. I got clean and went on to produced monthly swinger/escort magazines. I also started doing Mac computer consulting around this time.
Found Netpond right after Nick got it, learned a bit about this business. For some odd reason Greenguy has always been really good to me and has helped me a lot he also got me started in the link list business.
These days most of my sales come from my own LL and I still try to build and submit something new each day to help keep the traffic flowing.
Last summer a tranny who I have known for many years and lives up the street from my stopped by asking if I could help her with her site. This has worked out far better then I could have ever imagined and has really increased my income so now I also run a tranny site for my neighbor up the street.
