Honesty in this business...

This is one of the best threads I have EVER read, anywhere.

I know I have come in late, and no-one probably gives a shit, but I look at it this way....

Honesty should NOT be confused with morals, ethics or principles. EVER

Some of the most crooked SOB's I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with have also been as honest as the day is long.

In many cases I would prefer to deal with someone who is honest about their dishonesty than someone who is dishonestly honest.

I have to say though, that I find Meat and Aga to be amazing guys (and it rubs off on their entire team I might add - EVEN Fred !!), I think what I like most is they are both stand-up gentleman who wouldn't fuck you over purposely UNLESS they did it to your face first. I like that. A lot. And I am constantly grateful I get to do business and spend time with men such as that. It makes life a pleasure.

I admire Scotty and other similar old school operatives immensely - they NEVER bullshitted, and they would take it to your face as well. I respect that.

What I fucking hate (apart from shaving !!) is little spineless pricks who try and fuck you over and run and hide. And we have LOADS of them in this biz - old school and not-so old school.

I probably would be lot richer now had I not taken the attitude in this biz to be "true to myself", but I don't regret it for a second, I am hardly poor, I don't have a ego to feed and I don't look over my shoulder, and I don't take shit from anyone.

Bad karma cost me the first millions I made and very nearly my existence several years ago.

Someone said it above, Karma IS a bitch.

I am by no means an angel, but I pride myself in my integrity, and that is probably a better word in the context of this thread than honesty.
