From watching 60 Minutes on Sunday, it seems more like the US figured out the best solution is to just let the Baath power structure get back into place but without Saddam & Sons at the helm.
The same people are getting back into positions of power. This should gradually lessen the attacks on our troops which have been financed by the wealthy class which lost all their priviliges when Saddam got toppled. We shall see . . . . .
