My take on War.
A sometimes necessary evil. A random destroyer of lives.
A harshly violent and brutal means of action justified to end brutality. How ironic when you think about it.
A taker of land and property cloaked under the auspicies of politically contrived words labeling it otherwise.
A torrid and vicious release of energy upon those that are usually just forced pawns of a single truly evil mind.
It makes us feel proud and strong of our vast might and power, yet as with that little girl's letter to her fallen daddy, conversely makes us feel weak, weeping tears from our eyes, and questioning ourselves in a frantic search for justification.
It tests your valor and courage to its core. For what greater fear can a man endure than to know he must walk out the door, by order of his country, to go to a distant land he's never been, to then be forced to kill and maime men he doesn't know, while taking a last look of love into the eyes of his wife and children, knowing he may not come back to ever see them again, and knowing full well his very hands will have to pull the trigger which will cause another man's children and loved ones to never see their father again either.
