There is nothing i could be more proud of in a friend, than seeing you make such a dramatic change in lifestyle and stick with it. its not really as easy as most make it sound. its amazing. congrats.

I believe people choose their personality and I've chosen to change mine. I may be less fun in the sense that I will not unpredictably pass out in front of hundreds of webmasters at conferences and I won 't be "that crazy guy" that "can REALLY party" but then again, I won't pass out in front of hundreds of webmasters at conferences and I won 't be "that crazy guy".

In real-life, JR is an ego-free easy-going partner. That can't come out easily in an interview. What's he going to say, "Hi, I'm JR and I'm modest"? ;-) JR is the guy that keeps two offices that are 11 time-zones apart running like a well-oiled M1A1 Abrams.
