The Republicans called me today.

They asked for a donation. They also asked me what I was more in favor of: permanent tax cuts or a ban on partial birth abortions.

They used the phrase "the liberals" at least a dozen times.

Fair to me would be if everyone pitched in the same amount every year - not the same %, the same amount ;-)

They haven't called here yet. I can do what I like to the national ones, but I have to be polite to the locals - this town is small enough that someone in my girlfreind's family is probably married to whoever is calling.

pretty funny.

i was watching them show the water main that was blown up in Bagdad on BBC and it occured to me that there was non-stop referrences in the media to the shortage of services, electricity, water and so on... then as those things are restored, its not news worthy.
