The problem was not the tax cut, the problem is the politicians in Washington spend OUR money like drunken sailers on shore leave.
Bush has continually given in to Democrats and keeps spending more and more money on social welfare programs - we are going to be a welfare state as large as France soon! Staying in Iraq and helpin rebuild needs to be done - just like we did in Europe and Japan after WWII. It costs us in teh shrt term, but in the long term if it helps stabilzie region it will be paid back 1,000% times to us.
