Someone hit the nail on the head earlier on in the posts - one of the things not showing in the stats is a "long term" results... perhpas he has sent thousands of hits without a sale, and this just happens to be the "lucky week".
Remember, while it is a simplistic way to explain a complicated statistical situation, "1 in 500" can be any one of the 500, including the first 1. If you don't sample right, your stats would be 1 in 1. Alex
