I like to promote “Indie Sites” but . . .

Check out these and other "mainstream" payouts....let me know what you think. Sky tv is Rupert Murdoch, no stranger to marketing. How fast do you think your affiliate code will run out and how much of a traffic leak do you think this is......
Do you think this is where affiliate marketing is really going?

Is Rupert an "indie site"? I think he is.....its all his own work...just on a scale bigger than any porn site could dream of.

And finally, are these brutal costs for affiliate traffic causing porn companies to drop their affiliate programs?

imo...

The affiliate is partly being dropped as more programs realize that in-house traffic management in the long run can be more profitable. I also think adult programs are realizing that only affiliates that actually make money are worth (x$) investment in beyond a reasonable expectation of professional courtesy. As for leaks, standards are constantly changing for what is or is not acceptable with webmasters in adult and mainstream. So the program with the most flexibility to accomodate those changes will naturally thrive.
