There are other and possibly better strategies than lowering your price. It becomes harder to put it back up when the recession "ends". Recessions, in my experience, don't end, they kind fade away and you don't realize its finished until it has been over a couple of years. So, when, exactly, do you put your prices back up?
As a marketing ploy, this VG thing works. As a recession busting strategy, save it for the punters.
