I have a passion for football but admit I only watch NFL, not college. My sister and brother-in-law, both graduates of the University of Maryland, are devoted college ball fans, rooting always for their alma mater. I have a mild interest when the Maryland teams do well, but only a mild interest.

One of the Maryland teams (football, basketball, skeet shooting, something) was going for the title it eventually won during my nephew's Bar Mitzvah, so the DJ kept announcing the score. Merriment and applause ensued, as most of their friends are old college buddies that stayed friends throughout the marriage and children years. I think that's very cool, as most people lose track of old school friends.
